The Hatco HWBH-43D drop-in hot food well can be used in school cafeterias, buffet-style restaurants, and catered gatherings to keep pans of food warm until serving time. With four uninsulated wells, it accommodates four third-size pans—an ideal size for holding side items such as mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and green beans. This unit includes a large drain that helps rid the wells of condensation and facilitate cleaning after use. As a top-mounted unit, it installs to the top of a countertop or work table.

For rust and corrosion resistance, the Hatco HWBH-43D heated well is made of stainless steel. This metal is durable enough to withstand repeated heavy-duty use. Unattached to the main unit, a control panel enables temperature adjustment and includes a separate on/off rocker switch. Overall, the structure measures 13 5⁄8 inches wide by 28 5⁄8 inches deep by 9 21⁄50 inches high.
