How to choose

Heavy-duty or low profile

Heavy-duty traps (GT-50, GT-70, GT-100) hold more grease between cleanings. Low profile traps fit under sinks where there is little height between the drain and the floor.

Sizing

Grease traps are sized by flow rate (GPM) and grease capacity. Match them to the sinks and dish machine draining into them, and follow your local plumbing code.

Maintenance

Clean or pump out the trap on a regular schedule so grease does not pass into the sewer.

Frequently asked questions

What size grease trap do I need?

Grease traps are sized by flow rate and grease capacity, which depend on the fixtures that drain into them. Your plumber or local code official sets the size; check each listing for its flow rating.

Are they certified?

Yes. All of these traps are NSF certified.

Do you have faucets and drains?

Yes. See faucets and plumbing supplies.

Is freight included?

Yes. Freight and liftgate delivery are included on every order to the continental United States, with nothing added at checkout.

What to check before you order

Sizing a grease trap is set by your local plumbing authority, not by preference, so call the inspector or a licensed plumber first and ask what flow rate is required for your fixtures. Then measure the space under or beside the sink, including room above the lid to open it and scoop it out. Check that the inlet and outlet pipe size matches your drain line. The usual mistake is buying on price, then failing inspection with an undersized unit.
