Code requirements

Health codes usually require a dedicated hand sink in food prep areas and behind the bar, often with hot and cold water, soap and towels. Check with your local inspector.

Faucets and hands-free valves

Most of our wall mount hand sinks use a faucet with 4 in. centers. Replacements: the HFC-35 hand sink faucet and the HFC-4 wall mount gooseneck faucet. To go hands-free, add a knee pedal valve or a dual foot pedal.

Frequently asked questions

What size hand sink do I need?

Most inspectors accept a 12 x 12 in. wall mount sink with hot and cold water, soap and towels. Use a 12 x 9 in. space saver where the wall is tight, and an 18 in. model if staff wash forearms or gloves often. Check your local code before you order.

Does a bar need its own hand sink?

In most areas, yes. A sink used for glassware or drinks does not count as a hand sink. Underbar hand sinks are built to fit under the bar top.

Are they certified?
