Match the overshelf length to your work table and choose a depth that leaves room to work below it.
Single or double
A double overshelf holds more pans, plates and supplies above the table. A single shelf keeps the space more open.
Mounting
Table mount overshelves attach to the back of the work table. Check that your table has a backsplash or edge that fits the brackets.

What to check before you order
Match the shelf length to the table it will mount on, and check the product page to confirm which tables it fits. Then look at height. You need enough space between the two tiers for your tallest container, and the top tier still has to be reachable by your shortest cook. Look up as well, since lights, hoods and sprinkler heads limit how tall you can go. Keep heavy items on the lower tier and stay within the listed weight capacity.
