Ice is in almost every drink, so the bin it comes from sits at the center of the station. We carry three kinds. They differ in how they install and in whether they chill soda lines as well as hold ice.

Drop-in ice bin
A drop-in bin sits in a hole cut in the bar top or counter, so the ice is at hand height and the bin is hidden below. It is insulated and has a sliding lid. Pick it when you are building or refitting a counter and want a clean top surface. Check the cutout size on the product page before the counter is made.
Freestanding ice bin with cold plate
A cold plate is a metal block in the bottom of the bin with tubes running through it. Soda and water lines pass through the tubes and are chilled by the ice above, so drinks from a soda gun come out cold. This bin has a 7-circuit cast aluminum plate and foam insulated walls. Choose it for any station that pours soda or mixers from a gun. If you do not use a soda gun, you do not need a cold plate.
Ice chest with sliding lid
The ice chest is a simple insulated bin for holding ice and keeping bottles or cans cold on top of it. It suits a backup ice supply, a beer tub at an event, or a service bar.
A small add-on worth having
The plastic bottle holder for ice bins hangs inside a bin and holds three bottles upright, which keeps juice and mixer bottles cold without burying them in the ice.
Keeping ice safe
- Use a scoop, never a glass, to take ice from the bin.
- Do not store bottles directly in ice that goes into drinks. Use a bottle holder or a separate bin.
- Empty, clean and sanitize the bin on a regular schedule.
Before you order
- Decide whether the station pours soda from a gun. That settles the cold plate question.
- Measure the space, or the cutout for a drop-in.
- Make sure a drain is within reach. Ice bins need one for meltwater.
