How to choose

Aluminum or stainless steel

Aluminum heats quickly and evenly and weighs less, which suits stock pots and roasters. Stainless steel resists acidic foods and works on induction when magnetic.

Size

8 to 24 qt stock pots suit sauces and soups; 80 and 100 qt pots handle stocks and large batches.

Riveted handles

Riveted handles stay secure when a full pot is lifted.

Frequently asked questions

Aluminum or stainless steel cookware?

Aluminum heats quickly and evenly and costs less. Stainless steel is heavier, does not react with acidic foods and lasts longer under heavy use.

Do you have woks?

Yes. See Asian cookware.

Is freight included?

Yes. Freight and liftgate delivery are included on every order to the continental United States, with nothing added at checkout.

What to check before you order

Pick the material by the job. Aluminum heats quickly and is light to lift, but it can react with acidic foods such as tomato sauce. Stainless steel does not react and takes more abuse, though it heats less evenly unless the base is clad. Then size each piece to your burner and your batch: a pot much wider than the burner heats poorly at the edges. If you cook on induction, confirm the base is magnetic. Buy lids at the same time, since diameters vary.
