How to choose

Size

Match capacity to how much frozen stock you hold. The CF44 fits a small back room; the CF91 holds bulk inventory for busy kitchens and stores.

Solid or glass top

Solid top chest freezers are for storage. Glass top freezers let customers see ice cream and frozen food for sale.

Chest or upright

Chest freezers hold more for the money and keep cold air in when opened. Upright reach-in freezers take less floor space and make it easier to find items.

Frequently asked questions

Chest freezer or reach-in freezer?

A chest freezer holds more for the price and keeps cold when opened, since cold air stays low. A reach-in freezer takes less floor space and makes it easier to find and grab product on shelves.

What size chest freezer do I need?

A 15 cu. ft. unit suits a small restaurant or food truck commissary; 20 to 30 cu. ft. suits busy kitchens storing bulk proteins.

Are they certified?

Yes. The Coldline chest freezers are ETL listed.

Is freight included?

Yes. Freight and liftgate delivery are included on every order to the continental United States, with nothing added at checkout.

What to check before you order

Measure the floor footprint, then the height you need with the lid fully raised, because a chest freezer cannot sit under a counter or shelf. Decide between a solid lid for back of house storage and a glass sliding lid for selling from the floor. Compare capacity in cubic feet with the cases you receive each week. If it will sit in a garage or storeroom without climate control, check the ambient temperature range in the manual. Leave the airflow clearance the manual calls for.
