Why melamine

Melamine is lightweight and resists chipping and breaking better than ceramic, so it costs less to replace in busy dining rooms. It is not for microwave or oven use.

What we carry

Over 60 Blue Bamboo pieces from 3-1/2" tea cups to 17" trays, including rice, miso, swirl, scalloped and rimless bowls, sushi boats up to 54 oz and sashimi platters. See Blue Bamboo.

Frequently asked questions

Is it certified?

Yes. The Blue Bamboo pieces are NSF certified.

Yes. Freight and liftgate delivery are included on every order to the continental United States, with nothing added at checkout.

What to check before you order

Count seats and turns first, then plan for enough pieces to cover a full service plus breakage and items in the dish room. Choose shapes and sizes around your actual portions, because an oversized plate makes servings look small. Pick a color and finish that hides scratches if the pieces will see steak knives. Check how the pieces stack, since storage space is usually tight. The most common mistake is treating melamine like china and putting it in a microwave or oven.
