How a char-rock broiler works

Gas burners heat a bed of lava rock under the cooking grate. The rocks spread heat evenly and turn drippings into smoke, giving grilled flavor and char marks on steaks, burgers and chicken.

How to choose

Size

Choose by how many portions you need on the grate at the busiest time. The 24" model suits a small line; the 48" model handles a busy grill station.

Char-rock or radiant

Radiant charbroilers use steel radiants instead of rock. See all charbroilers to compare.
