Description
The Coldline CBT48-LT is a 48 in. refrigerated salad bar built for employee service: staff work from behind it, building salads, bowls or sandwiches from pans in the top well while backup product waits in the refrigerated base below. It suits fast casual restaurants, cafeterias, corporate dining and catering kitchens. A cutting board along the work side and a lighted sneeze guard on the customer side are included.
Why it works behind a service line
- Top well holds nine 1/3 size or eighteen 1/6 size food pans up to 6 in. deep (pans sold separately), so you can lay out greens, toppings and dressings in one row.
- Removable poly cutting board, 10 in. deep and 1/2 in. thick, gives staff a prep surface that comes off for cleaning.
- 14 cu. ft. refrigerated base with self-closing doors that stay open at 90 degrees while you restock.
- A vented stainless divider separates the top display from the storage section below.
- Digital control with automatic defrost, a 1/2 HP system and R290 refrigerant.
- Heavy-duty casters with brakes, and a standard 110V plug.

Before you order
- The sneeze guard and cutting board ship separately for safe transit, and you install them on arrival.
- Plan floor space for 39.5 in. of depth with the board on, or 29.5 in. without it.
- Food pans are not included. Order nine 1/3 size or eighteen 1/6 size pans, 6 in. deep or shallower.
- Many health departments require cold food to be held at or below 41°F. Your local health department has the final say on your setup.

Is shipping free, and is liftgate delivery included?
Yes. Shipping is free to the lower 48 states and DC, with nothing added at checkout. Larger items ship by freight truck with liftgate delivery included, and the carrier calls ahead to schedule. Smaller items ship by parcel. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
Do I need a plumber or electrician?
Usually not. Most refrigeration plugs into an outlet, so check the voltage and plug type in the specifications above. After delivery, let it stand upright for several hours (ideally 24) before plugging it in so the refrigerant can settle.
Does it come with a warranty?
Yes. It is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, shown on this page. Keep your delivery paperwork, and inspect the unit for freight damage before signing for it.
Can I pick it up instead of having it shipped?
Equipment like this ships directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, so pickup usually is not available. If you are in the NJ/NY area, call 877-558-2253 and we will check for you.
