Coldline makes all the refrigerated salad bars we list, in three families: freestanding self-serve CBT buffet tables with sneeze guards or pan covers, employee-service CBT models with a cutting board for staff to build plates, and CTP countertop rails that sit on an existing counter. Choose the family by who serves the food, then the length by how many pans you need.

How to choose
- Who serves? Guests serve themselves at CSG and CPC tables; staff serve from LT and SG tables.
- How many items? Count toppings and greens, then match pan count. Smaller pans (1/6) fit more items in the same length than 1/3 pans.
- Floor or counter? CTP rails need a counter that can take the weight and a nearby outlet; CBT tables need floor space; several CBT pages list casters.
- What goes underneath? CBT bases store backup pans cold, so you can restock without walking to the walk-in.
Food safety at a salad bar
Cold holding is 41 F or below under FDA Food Code 3-501.16; Coldline lists 33 to 41 F for these units. Food on display must be protected from customer contamination by sneeze guards or similar means under 3-306.11. A refrigerated rail keeps pans cold; it does not cool warm food, so chill food before it goes in. Our buffet and salad bar food safety article covers the rest. Your local health department has the final say.
Warranty and delivery
Coldline salad bars list a 5 year compressor and 1 year parts and labor warranty. Freight to the 48 contiguous states is included, and powered equipment has a 7 day return window from delivery. See every model on our commercial salad bar page.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between CBT CSG and CBT LT models?
CSG tables are self-serve with a sneeze guard and tray slide. LT tables are employee-service with a cutting board and a lighted sneeze guard.
Do Coldline salad bars come with pans?
Check each page. The CBT-72-CSG and CBT48-LT pages say pans are sold separately, and so does the CTP60SG page.
Can a countertop salad bar sit on any counter?
It needs a level counter that can carry the unit and loaded pans, airflow space and an outlet. Check the dimensions and electrical data on the product page.
What temperature should a salad bar hold?
41 F or below for cold food under the Food Code. Check it with a thermometer during service, not only the display.
